Debates are extremely important. We need to explore differences and learn from each other. If you don’t know where to go, use this forum. The Campaign against Climate Change holds the view that sometimes there will be passionate differences amongst people who care about global warming, for example nuclear power.

Guildford Borough Council (GBC), seems to be on the verge of taking a stand against solar panels in this area.  Every other local authority in the country is treating large arrays of solar panels as falling within permitted development rights (i.e.

It seems great that the government has signed up to 10 by 10. And it is good. But also I think we have to cut through the greenwash.

General election - questions for candidates

January 15, 2010 by sbridewell

My question is, what questions do you think we should ask?

Please post them here, so that other local groups can ask those questions of the candidates in their own constituencies if they so choose.

Dunkirk mentality

December 16, 2009 by su

On so many radio talk shows these days VIPs tell us again and again that climate change is real and is man made. Then when someone else pipes up in agreement and goes on to wax lyrical about some inspirational group or other who are doing their “bit” by recycling they are immediately shot down in flames by said VIP who states that the problem needs government intervention and putting off a few lights off isn’t going to save us. And every time this has happened they have not been challenged.
